Water softening equipment installation procedures and precautions

Water softening equipment is the use of ion exchange principle to remove calcium, magnesium and other hardness ions in water, is composed of controller, resin tank, salt tank. The machine has the advantages of good performance, compact structure, significantly reduced footprint, automatic operation without special monitoring, saving manpower and greatly improving work efficiency. Water softening equipment is widely used in boiler water supply, air conditioning system water supply, water heater, power plant, chemical, textile, bio-pharmaceutical, electronic and pure water system pre-treatment and other industrial, commercial and civilian soft water production. 1.water softening equipment installation steps.

1. 1 Select an installation position.

①The water softening equipment should be as close as possible to the drainage pipe.

②If other water treatment facilities are needed, the installation location should be reserved. It is recommended to confirm the equipment size with the supplier before purchase.

③Salt box should be added regularly to ensure the quality of soft water. It is customary to add salt half a year.

④Do not install the water softening equipment within 3 meters from the boiler (soft water outlet and boiler inlet), otherwise the hot water will return to the soft water equipment and damage the equipment.

⑤Place in the room temperature below 1℃ and above 49℃ environment. Keep away from acidic substances and acidic gases.

1.2 Electrical connection.

①The electrical connection shall comply with the electrical construction specifications.

②Check that the electrical parameters of the desalted device controller are the same as those of the power supply.

③There is a power socket.

1.3 Pipe connection.

①The connection of the pipeline system should comply with the “Water supply and drainage Pipeline construction standards”

②Connect the inlet and outlet water pipes according to the control caliber.

③Manual valves should be installed at the inlet and outlet pipes, and bypass valves should be installed between the outlet pipes.

First, it is easy to discharge the residue during the installation and welding process to avoid the resin pollution of the water softening equipment; The second is easy to maintain.

④Sampling valve should be installed at the water outlet, and Y-type filter should be installed at the water inlet.

⑤Try to shorten the length of the drain pipe (<6m), do not install different valves. Only teflon tape can be used for sealing during installation.

⑥Maintain a certain space between the water surface of the drainage pipe and the drainage channel to reduce siphoning.

⑦Support should be set between the pipes, and the gravity and stress of the pipes should not be transferred to the control valve.

1.4 Install water dispenser and central pipe.

①Glue the center pipe and the water distributor base together with polyvinyl chloride glue.

②Insert the bonded center tube into the resin tank of the water softening equipment.

③The branch pipe of the water distribution pipe is fastened on the water distribution pipe base.

④After the installation of the water distributor, the center pipe should be perpendicular to the center of the exchange tank, and then cut off the polyvinyl chloride pipe above the level of the tank mouth.

⑤Place the resin tank of the water softening equipment in the selected position.

⑥The center tube is firmly bonded with the lower water distributor, and the lower water distributor inserts the center tube downward into the resin tank. The height of the center pipe together with the height of the lower distributor should be flush with the mouth of the tank, and the excess part of the center pipe should be cut off.

⑦Resin is added to the resin tank and cannot be filled. The reserved space is the backwashing space of the resin, and the height is about 40%-60% of the height of the resin layer.

⑧Cover the upper water distributor on the middle core tube, or first fix the upper water distributor at the bottom of the control valve. Insert the core tube into the bottom of the control valve.

2.Pay attention to the following points when installing.

1)The equipment should be installed on a simple horizontal foundation, about 250~450mm from the wall. It can be arranged in the corner according to the actual situation.

2)The inlet and outlet water pipes are connected with flanges or threads, which need fixed support, and the valve body cannot be supported to prevent force; A water pressure gauge should be installed on the water inlet pipe. When the equipment is running, flush water should be discharged, and a floor drain or drainage ditch should be set nearby.

3)The power distribution socket should be installed on the wall near the desalted device, and should be equipped with a fuse, and it should be well grounded.

4)Glue the center pipe to the water distributor base with PVC glue, insert the bonded center pipe into the resin tank, and tighten the branch pipe of the water distributor on the water distributor base. After the water distributor is installed, the center pipe should stand vertically in the center of the exchange tank, and then cut off the PVC pipe above the surface of the tank mouth.

5) When filling resin, pay attention to the balanced loading around the lifting tube in the center of the human body. In order to ensure that the calculated amount is first loaded into the column, during the installation process, the exchange column should be continuously injected with water to discharge the air in the resin hole. In the method of filling the resin while maintaining this water seal, it is difficult to ensure that the dry resin is fully filled with the amount of filling required. When the resin is filled, turn the control valve clockwise into the threaded hole at the upper end of the exchange column. It also requires fluency. Note: Do not forget to install the upper moisture dispenser on the base of the control valve.
